Double Standards – Siberian

Standards light blue violet (6+, stamens converted to standards); style arms light blue violet, usually absent; Falls (3) blue violet, gold signal inside large white sunburst halo, horizontal, sometimes with additional 3 falls in center nest of standards to give hose-in-hose form.

Siberian Irises  are margin plants, preferring to grow in moist, but not wet situation. “They like wet feet, but dry ankles”

They have thin sword like grey/green foliage, and die down in winter.
